Uğur Tatlıcı, youngest son of the late philanthropist businessman Mehmet Salih Tatlıcı, is keeping his father’s legacy, which has been “Respect for Human Kind and the World; and Help the People in Need”. The CEO of UNT Holding, Ugur Tatlici, has been presented another certificate of appreciation by SAPD, ‘Solidarity Association For The Physically Disabled’ due to all donations and assistance he provides per se.
We, as providing from UNT Holding, would like to share this significant event as today’s news with our dear readers and public eye, since it would be a way of paying respect to the late Mehmet Salih Tatlıcı and his memory.
We observe an ongoing cooperation of the last 3 years, which only gets stronger and deeper, between the well-respected organization SAPD, aiming to remove all obstacles against social participation of orthopedically disabled citizens; and UNT Holding’s CEO Ugur Tatlici, who has been sincerely working to fulfill his deceased father’s legacy.
Uğur Tatlıcı and his mother Nurten Tatlıcı, both personally and corporately, have been cooperating with and assisting organizations and associations such as SAPD in order to provide social harmony and equality.
Depending on information we received from UNT Holding, educational assistance is not the only kind of help and support provided to disabled citizens and their children, who are at the school age. Support has been given to this charity’s events for donations as well as providing wheelchairs and other vehicles, hardware necessary for disabled citizens.
As a result of such sincere dialogue and collaboration Uğur Tatlıcı has developed during the years in order to realize his late father’s legacy, which was basically “Respect the Human Kind and Our World, Help the People in Need”; support, donations and assistance to both local and international charities, organizations aimed for removal of obstacles before the disabled in addition to protection of environment, all go on.
There have been donations to ‘Six Points Association of the Blind’, Bosphorus University’s Technology Lab for the Blind, National Education Foundation, Turkish Kidney Foundation, TEMA (Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion for Reforestation and the Protection of Natural Habitats), TURMEPA / DenizTemiz Association, which works to keep our seas clean, and ‘Darülaceze’, the almshouse which is one of the greatest institutions for the elderly and poor in Turkey, in addition to collaborations for projects. What is more, as a part of cooperation with ‘Antalya Provincial Directorate for National Education’; support has been given to provide for some education needs around Antalya’s schools.
In order to draw attention to problems of our disabled citizens, “Let This Song Be Ours” campaign, initiated by a commercial process led by Uğur Tatlıcı himself, has been realized with the sincere help of artists and sportspeople.
A collaboration with National Geographic Society has been realized to protect endangered species of lions, tigers and such animals in ‘Big Cat Initiative’ and ‘Cause an Uproar’ projects; and donations have been made to ‘Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary’ located in Tasmania district of Australia so that wild life could be protected better. This shelter is solely based on human good will and donations, and provides care and support for injured animals as well as baby animals left alone and neglected.
Again, in international context, donations have been made to ‘International Pompe Association’, which focuses on pompe disease, a genetic illness mostly due to kin marriages.
Following UNT Holding’s CEO Uğur Tatlıcı’s forward dialogue with the association, ‘World Food Programme’, which is connected to United Nations and fights against starvation and famine worldwide, has also been supported.
This collaboration resulted in UNT Holding and Ugur Tatlici’s contribution to a massive programme named “School Meals”, which has been created by UN for school-age children to receive proper nourishment. Thus, UNT Holding has become a global provider of help and good will through such programmes and collaborations.
Last but not the least, Uğur Tatlıcı’s friendly support to ‘Solidarity Association For The Physically Disabled’, which was born from the late Mehmet Salih Tatlıcı’s legacy of “Respect the Human Kind and Our World, Help the People in Need”, has received an official certificate of acknowledgement from the Chairman of the Association, Kemal Demirel.
Chairman of SAPD, Kemal Demirel, notes these words in his June 10, 2015 thank you note:
