Mehmet Tatlıcı, son of late businessman Mehmet Salih Tatlıcı from his first marriage to his maternal cousin, keeps filing criminal complaints with baseless accusations, targeting innocent people, who are also his family members. This time, it is about his late father’s masterpiece in Zincirlikuyu: The twin business towers, Tat Towers. The criminal complaint Mehmet Tatlıcı filed over these towers with groundless claims resulted to his detriment once again.
A very interesting conclusion of it all is the “frustration” of Mehmet Tatlıcı, hero of the exemplary tales that will probably go down in our legal history, who uses the mindset of “throw enough mud and some will stick for sure”, but get stuck with mud on his own clothes: He hit the legal wall with the verdict from our country’s prosecutors in the 15th criminal complaint he filed with unjust, unlawful and ungrounded claims against Nurten Tatlıcı, second wife of his late father, and Uğur Tatlıcı, his step brother from this marriage, as he kept targeting them since the day his father passed away.
A WORK OF PERSISTENCE, PATIENCE AND HARD WORK: TAT TOWERS
Twin business towers in Zincirlikuyu district of Istanbul, Tat Towers, reflect the persistence, patience, hardworking nature and prudence of late businessman Mehmet Salih Tatlıcı.
Despite the fact that it has been 12 years since the construction of these business towers, where Mehmet Salih Tatlıcı did not use a single dime of loan other than his own assets, the “love for money” of his children and grandchildren from his first marriage does not end. The twin towers remain idle like a cautionary tale of the great disrespect by his own children and grandchildren against his esteemed memory, left to decay.
Before we move on to the real, underlying reasons, we would like to remind our readers the beginning of this tale; the attitude these dutiful children and grandchildren assumed against their late father/grandfather’s inheritance and will, as soon as Mehmet Salih Tatlici’s official will surfaced, besides the futile “pursuit of justice” they have been leading since that day:
THE OFFICIAL WILL OF MEHMET SALİH TATLICI AND THE “SEARCH FOR JUSTICE” OF HIS OWN CHILDREN/GRANDCHILDREN
When Mehmet Salih Tatlıcı gave in to his relentless disease and passed away on February 22nd, 2009, he left a substantial inheritance, including precious real estate properties such as the Tat Towers.
Following the demise of Mehmet Salih Tatlıcı, his official will, which he penned in 1994, was put before the heirs by the court. In this official will, Mehmet Salih Tatlıcı disinherited his children Ahmet and Ali Tatlıcı from his first marriage to Bedriye Tatlici (Gonuldas), who was also his maternal cousin, but decreed that his youngest son, Mehmet Tatlıcı, and children of Ali Tatlıcı (who passed away before his father) shall benefit from the inheritance as per their reserved portions. It is claimed that this was because Ahmet and Ali Tatlıcı raided their father’s home and offices in 1988, threatened him and his second wife, Nurten Tatlıcı, with death and severely insulted them, which flamed a deep sadness and frustration for the late businessman.
Mehmet Salih Tatlici left the remainder of his inheritance in his will to his second wife, Nurten Tatlıcı, who was his partner for 43 years in sickness and in health, and to his youngest son from this marriage, Uğur Tatlıcı.
The dutiful children and grandchildren, who did not like Mehmet Salih Tatlici’s official will, tried to revocate it to acquire more shares from the inheritance and started filing consecutive lawsuits, immediately following the death of the late businessman – individually and with joint actions.
MEHMET TATLICI FILED 14 CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS WITH BASELESS ACCUSATIONS AND THEY ALL CAME BACK TO HIT HIM IN THE FACE…
Their target at this point, was not only the will of their father/grandfather, but also his second wife, Nurten Tatlıcı, and his youngest son from this marriage, Uğur Tatlıcı.
So much so that the late businessman’s sons and grandchildren from his first marriage and especially Mehmet Tatlıcı filed numerous criminal complaints against Uğur and Nurten Tatlıcı with unjust, unlawful and ungrounded claims.
All of these petitions were dismissed by the prosecution, upon necessary investigations, with the verdict of non-prosecution…
If a normal human being with a sound mind and conscience was to assess the situation, the conclusion drawn would be as follows:
“You file a total of 14 criminal complaints with ridiculous claims. None of them involve justifications or evidence that requires prosecution, which is why they all come back to hit you in the face and I do not know what kind of a mindset or conscience you have, but you still keep accusing innocent people relentlessly, slandering them, filing further criminal complaints over and over again and harassing them…”
“You file a total of 14 criminal complaints, you get 14 rejections to your detriment every time, but you just do not ‘give up’ and keep harassing innocent people with the same mentality…”
Yes, the conclusion is, in fact, this dramatic. We are leaving it to the discretion of our readers…
Now let us go back to our topic and share with our readers how Mehmet Tatlıcı uses Tat Towers to expose innocent people to prosecution’s investigations with baseless accusations and harass them:
ALL IMMOVABLES WITHIN THE ESTATE, INCLUDING TAT TOWERS, ARE HANDED TO THE COURT OF PROBATE TO BE MANAGED
Constructed by late businessman Mehmet Salih Tatlıcı with great labor, sacrifice and only his own means, Tat Towers was left to the management of the Court of Probate, as a result of the cases his children and grandchildren filed for the revocation of his official will and the reevaluation of the inheritance, for they did not like what he decreed in his will.
WHY MEHMET SALİH TATLICI’S MASTERPIECE WAS LEFT TO DECAY AND BY WHOM?
The Court of Probate handed the management of Tat Towers, along with the other immovables within the late businessman’s estate, to court-appointed estate administrators. However, the businessman’s children from his first marriage to his maternal cousin, Mehmet Tatlıcı, Ahmet Tatlıcı and children of Ali Tatlıcı, who passed away a while ago, Salih Ziya Tatlıcı (Titiz) and Bedriye Kamer Tatlıcı, objected to the leasing of Tat Towers buildings by claiming that they were not earthquake resistant.
At this point, this contradiction can only be expected from them – they never allowed the necessary evaluations to be carried out to write an earthquake report for the buildings. In other words, they claimed that the buildings would not be able to survive an earthquake, but they simultaneously rejected the research to determine whether that would actually be the case or not (For detailed information about this, please see: “Petition to Municipality: ‘Take Precautions for Tat Towers!’” news article).
Managed by the official estate representatives, who were appointed by the court, Tat Towers remains neglected today, for the increasing debts of the estate cannot compensate for the towers’ needs (Please see: “Tat Towers Falling into Ruins” and “Tat Towers Fall into Ruins and Those who are Responsible Merely Watch!” news articles).
Tat Towers remains this way today, mainly because Mehmet Salih Tatlıcı’s children and grandchildren from his first marriage (who owe all the wealth and luxurious lives they have today to their own father/grandfather) displayed irreconcilable attitudes at the hearings and towards Mehmet Salih Tatlici’s esteemed memory… (For detailed information, please see: “Lying in Debt in His Grave” news article).
IF TAT TOWERS WAS EARNED TO THE ECONOMY, IT COULD PROVIDE EMPLOYMENT TO THOUSANDS OF INDIVIDUALS AND MILLIONS OF TURKISH LIRAS TO THE FINANCIAL AUTHORITIES
Following the passing of Mehmet Salih Tatlici, these dutiful children and grandchildren started taking step after step to revocate the official will of his and the reevaluation of the estate, which was why Tat Towers were kept idle deliberately. In fact, if they were to put them into use, they would provide employment opportunities for thousands of people and millions of Turkish Liras worth of tax income to the financial authorities; so much so that these buildings can make money for the estate as they idly stand.
That is because, the towers are on a highly busy road, at a significant intersection, connecting important roads, where millions of people pass by every day. The outdoor advertisements that can be used on these buildings would bring about the potential to make a substantial and regular income for the estate.
THE DUTIFUL CHILD, WHO DOES NOT EVEN ALLOW USING TAT TOWERS BUILDINGS FOR ADVERTISING PURPOSES: MEHMET TATLICI…
To that end, an estimated price was designated as a result of the expert appraisal, initiated by the official, court-appointed estate representatives to manage Mehmet Salih Tatlıcı’s estate and the Judicature of the Court of Probate itself. Proposals over this estimated price resulted in Turkcell advertisements to be hung onto Tat Towers, which provided a significant income for Tat Towers, while they used to be at a loss all the time…
But alas, there was a very dutiful son in question, called Mehmet Tatlıcı, who dedicated his whole life to destroy anything and everything that was left from his late father. He stepped in with his “area of expertise”, in which nobody on the face of this earth would overthrow him:
The plots to harass innocent people, who just keep to themselves, through public campaigns to discredit them and criminal complaints, embellished with baseless accusations with the mindset of “throw enough mud and some will stick for sure”…
MEHMET TATLICI HARASSING INNOCENT PEOPLE ONCE AGAIN WITH FALSE CLAIMS
Mehmet Tatlıcı, who is now known by not only our readers and the public thanks to the news on media, but also by members of the prosecution, judges and legal circles in our country, filed criminal complaints to various prosecution offices to cancel advertising agreements for Tat Towers, using his famous games with the mindset of “throw enough mud and some will stick for sure”. Throughout this whole process, carried out by the official estate representatives as per the verdict, ruled by the Court of Probate, he took the liberty of slandering innocent people, who have nothing to do with this matter directly, with unjust, unlawful and ungrounded claims, stating that they were committing “fraud”.
SO WHAT HAPPENED?
The fact of the matter was, on the other hand, as follows:
As was explained above, late Mehmet Salih Tatlıcı’s estate is managed by the Court of Probate and the official estate administrators, appointed by this court. Therefore, all immovables within the estate, including Tat Towers, are rented out after an expert appraisal, also appointed by the Court of Probate and the rental income thus acquired is transferred to the estate account.
Since the estate’s income was not able to cover its expenses, the Judicature of the Court of Probate ruled that proposals shall be taken into consideration to use outdoor advertisements on Tat Towers buildings (due to the obstacles, set by late Mehmet Salih Tatlici’s children and grandchildren from his first marriage and especially Mehmet Tatlıcı) for commercial purposes, in order to make up for rental income losses, since the buildings could not be rented, and the relevant damages could be diminished as much as possible (in 2014).
After this ruling of the Judicature of the Court of Probate and the expert appraisal that followed (on June 3rd, 2014), an estimated price of three million TL was set forth for the commercial utilization of Tat Towers buildings. The Judicature later accepted the proposal of ECD Advertising Company, worth 3,300,000 TL and Tat Towers buildings were rented to this company for advertisement purposes (with the verdict dated January 5th, 2016). ECD Advertising hung Turkcell’s advertisements on Tat Towers buildings and opened them up for commercial usage.
A PERSON WHO WOULD ACCUSE HIS FAMILY MEMBERS WITH THE SLIGHTEST PRETENSE: MEHMET TATLICI
That being the case, Mehmet Tatlıcı stepped in as he always does. Despite the duly ruled verdicts of the Judicature of the Court of Probate, he filed a criminal complaint to the Office of Public Prosecution in Istanbul with a brazen face, claiming that his step brother Uğur Tatlıcı and his late father’s second wife, Nurten Tatlıcı, were acquiring financial gains from this leasing procedure of Tat Towers, causing a loss for the estate and committing fraud, accusing them with unjust, unlawful and ungrounded claims and slandering them…
As we have illustrated above, this was not the first slander Mehmet Tatlıcı committed against his own family members. He filed numerous similar complaints since the death of his late father and this last “move” of his represented the 15th baseless criminal complaint that resulted in him, “hitting his head on the legal wall”…
MEHMET TATLICI HIT THE “WALL OF LAW” FOR THE 15TH TIME DUE TO HIS UNFOUNDED CLAIMS…
The Office of Public Prosecution of Istanbul, Bureau of Fraud and Counterfeiting ruled a verdict on the date of April 4th, 2019 with the signature of Aydın Boztaş, Public Prosecutor, and rejected all these baseless claims of dutiful son, Mehmet Tatlıcı, much like the criminal complaints he filed before, on grounds of non-prosecution…
Thus, Mehmet Tatlıcı could not find any audience for his “game” of “throw some mud and some will stick for sure”. He ended up with his mud on his face, but still did not let anyone else steal the title of “champion” from under his nose, when it came to filing criminal complaints with false accusations:
Fifteen criminal complaints to be exact, all of which have been dismissed by our prosecutors…
So what is it, if not harassment in the simplest of terms, to expose innocent people to prosecution’s investigations with baseless accusations to force them into proving their innocence?
We are leaving it to our readers’ discretion…
However, it is clearly seen that this will not be the end for Mehmet Tatlıcı with all his traits that are now well-known by the public…
We will be sharing further facts with our readers and the public…
